When it comes to spa treatments, are you a facial person or a massage person? I have ALWAYS been the girl that will choose a facial over a massage—because vanity, amiright? Enjoyed such a special self-care treat yesterday with a @truebotanicals facial that took place at the dreamiest little retreat space (yup, that sofa’s as comfy as it looks). I’ve been fighting a cold and it’s showing up on my skin big time—love that congestion lewk—so it felt especially pampering to get depuffed and glowing with sustainably sourced plant essences like lavender and blue camomile. Remember the powder room @teamwoodnote + I designed earlier this year? We’re so excited that the final project is featured on @ruemagazine today! There’s so much to love about this space, but without a doubt my fave feature is that show-stopping @cambriasurfaces counter + backsplash. Not only does the integrated sink create such a sleek effect, but we had the Cambria installer cut a curve in the stone so the mirror could be inset into the backsplash for a totally custom lewk! This is Cambria’s ‘Britannica Gold’ design and I can’t get enough of that bold veining. It’s perfect for making a major statement within a sophisticated neutral palette! Spending the last two days bumming around Toronto with my mom makes me realize how grateful I am for our relationship. It hasn’t always been an easy one, but thanks to a ton of work we’ve both put into ourselves and into the ways we interact, we’ve achieved a healthy, open balance of mother/daughter and friends. Now, on this trip, we’re talking a lot about how excited we are to add a new dynamic to the mix—one in which I’m the mom and she’s the grandma!!
