Instagram djevojke koje promoviraju samoodrživu modu

I recently read some stats from ThredUp that the resale market (secondhand, vintage, thrifting…), has grown 21 times faster than the retail market over the past three years, and 64% of women bought or are now willing to buy secondhand products. That number was just 45% in 2016! We truly have an almost endless supply of clothing to give a second life to, and it's so encouraging to see more and more consumers recognizing this and choosing to buy preloved. People from every income and age bracket are shopping secondhand more and helping reduce overall emissions. If you think that one person can't make a difference by choosing secondhand instead of heading to the mall, remember that you're a part of that 65% — and it's only growing! ✨ If you have any questions about thrifting or shipping secondhand/vintage, I'd be more than happy to try to help answer them. This passion of mine is only growing and I hope to spend more time exploring and chatting about the world of resale.

Funny, isn’t it? How we talk in exclamation points but think primarily in question marks. . It struck me while @highproofpreacher and I were catching up with old friends recently how everything we convey about our life is a sort of exclamation point. Definitive and enthusiastic: . “I did this, which created this opportunity, which I took, and now I do this!” . What I don’t always communicate is how unsure I was of each of those steps. How many hundreds of question marks and decisions went into something that takes me less than ten seconds to tell you about my journey. How, even now, most of my internal thoughts are great big question marks regarding what’s next. . As we walk through life day by day, it’s hard to notice that little curve of the question mark eroding away, slowly transforming from a “what if” to a “here’s what happened.” . I’m trying to keep my question marks from monopolizing all of my mental energy these days and doing my best to remember that they’ll evolve regardless of how much I think about them. . But, just so you know, they’re there. And the exclamation point version of my life is only half the story.✨

The other day I was staring out the window at a big tree. It had to be about three stories tall and had long bare branches since spring has just begun.⁣ ⁣ Since the tree was stripped of its leaves, I was able to see every little twig that made up the spindly fingers on each branch. ⁣ ⁣ So frail. ⁣ ⁣ Then my eyes traveled back to the sturdy trunk.⁣ ⁣ So strong.⁣ ⁣ The frail bits reflected new growth some places and areas that were withering up in others. But the trunk seemed unaffected by all of this. ⁣ ⁣ The paradox reminded me of myself, and maybe you too. So strong and steady, so frail and delicate. All at the same time.⁣ ⁣ Sometimes our truest self is seen when coming out of a barren winter, both weaker and stronger from what we’ve just been though. But we mustn’t be ashamed of the frail pieces that show. They are as much a part of us as our steady center, and they mean we’re growing, evolving, and ALIVE.⁣ ⁣ 📷: @madisonkayallen

Sneak peek of my upcoming outfit post… (it's my new profile pic too!) 💕 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ — ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I really love toughening up an overly girly outfit. It's probably why my wardrobe hasn't seen any pink in the last five years! 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ — ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That's all about to change… With the help of luxury fashion from @edwardmongzar, style advice from @robertastylelee, and confidence from @thisiscalmer, I'm finding myself and my wardrobe are starting to connect. I feel happy in who I am, in wearing what feels good, and following my heart (and not the trends!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ — ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Keep an eye out for this outfit post, coming very soon… 😘

Let's talk #SustainableDevelopmentGoals! 💚 As we're on the cusp of a new year, and a new decade, I think it's time for a new approach too. That's why I'm wearing my @togetherbandofficial wristband, signifying Responsible Consumption! 👊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ — ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The @unitednation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are leading the way when it comes to implementing sustainability within businesses and other organisations. 🙌 With 17 Goals covering everything from No Poverty to Climate Action to Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, I think it's key we demand businesses to start seeing sustainability as equally important as their profits. 👫🌍💰 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ — ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Togetherband is highlighting the importance of each of @theglobalgoals through their 17 different bands. Each one is made from recycled plastic and reclaimed gun metal, plus for every one sold, 1KG of plastic is removed from marine environments. 🌊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ — ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Obviously, Responsible Consumption is the perfect one for me! I'm all about buying less, and buying better. But what about you? Which goal, and which band, is your priority? 🤔 #TOGETHERBAND #TOGETHERBANDFAM #gifted

Happy Saturday 🌟 How have you spent the day? I've taken a whole day off today – the first in a long while – and am loving a little R & R! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ — ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've learnt the hard way when it comes to working and not giving my mind and body the attention it needs, even on an emotional level. 😰 So it feels sooo good to be typing this out while laying in joggers on the sofa, catching up on TV! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ — ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This pic was snapped outside @pausefashionhub during London Fashion Week, and it's a sneak preview of a fun little sustainable fashion challenge I took up with @sondeflor and @jilcarrara – all will be revealed very soon! 💛 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ — ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For now though, I hope you get chance to be this lazy some point very soon – it feels great 👌😂
