Our phrase choice for our official sweater to give back to the Australian fire relief efforts wasn’t easy (thank you all for your help in stories!). Ultimately, we settled on “this is not a drill.” We wanted the phrase to be broad enough so that it could resonate with many people – about many things – so we could sell the most amount (and raise the most amount of $$$). The one I’m wearing was just stitched on our moss sweater with lavender thread, but you can order whatever color combination you’d like. Just email us info@linguafranca.nyc. Each adult sweater (mens, women’s and plus sized) will send $100 and each children’s (2T-12T) will send $50 to the @redcrossau . . . “This is not a drill” is an obvious comment on the horrific fires burning through Oz, but it’s also, we think, a perfect phrase to jump start your new year.
