Čuvenu ‘malu crnu haljinu’ je dizajnirala Coco Chanel 1926 godine. Prva mala crna haljina je bila bez rukava i sezala je do koljena, te je bila namijenjena za popodnevna druženja, točnije koktel partije.

Vogue ju je proglasio ‘modnim Fordom T’, koji je bio jako popularan u to doba. Proslavila ju je Audrey Hepburn 1961 godine u poznatom klasik filmu ‘Doručak kod Tiffanya’, gdje ju nosi u kombinaciji s biserima. To je najpoznatija mala crna haljina na svijetu, a dizajnirao ju je Givenchy.

Takvu haljina je dovoljno elegantna za večernji izlazak, a nošena s blejzerom u trenu postaje dobitna kombinacija za poslovni outfit. Ova neboja stoji gotovo svima, a dobro znamo da crna vizualno čini čuda za žensku figuru.

▪ Did you know Marilyn Monroe was originally considered for the iconic role of Holly Golightly? The writer of the novel 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' (Truman Capote) also wanted Marilyn to play Holly, as she looked more like "his Holly". He wanted Marilyn not just because she was blonde, like Holly in the novel, but also because she was more a 'Lunamea' (Holly Golightly's real name). Audrey herself also felt miscast, but fortunately she did not know Capote disliked her. She later said: "I didn't know at the time, I heard it later. You see, I would have been very crushed. […] If somebody had told me 'Truman Capote doesn't want you', I would have had to overcome all of that to have the confidence to do it." (I posted that interview on IGTV.)
