“Njezin plan uključuje kardiovaskularne vježbe poput intervalnog treninga visokog intenziteta kako bih poboljšala izdržljivost i održala vitku liniju.
“Jahanje i modeling dijele slične kvalitete – oboje zahtijevaju disciplinu, predanost i gracioznost”, kaže Miriam.
Kad je riječ o inspiraciji, Miriam pronalazi uzor u svojoj majci. “Moja majka je utjelovljenje otpornosti, napornog rada i odlučnosti”, ističe ona i nadodaje da su joj majčine riječi podrške uvijek bile izvor motivacije i snage.
Unatoč svojim profesionalnim obvezama, Miriam prati sportske trendove i natjecanja, osobito podržava slovačke sportaše u hokeju i nogometu.

In the fashion world, there is frequent discussion about how models maintain their figures and what they eat to stay in top shape. Unfortunately, the industry has long been shrouded in stereotypes about unhealthy practices such as anorexia and bulimia, which has raised concerns and prejudices about the profession itself.
However, while these stereotypes have cast a shadow over the industry for years, the reality is that the situation is gradually improving. Our conversation with Miriam Mattova, one of today’s most prominent style icons, reveals how success in modeling increasingly demands a healthy, balanced approach.
Miriam Mattova, a model who graces the covers of prestigious magazines and walks the runways of major fashion shows, highlights how her successful career relies on a meticulously designed regimen that includes intense training, proper nutrition, and body care.
“The key is a structured training plan designed by my personal trainer, Danielle Millner”, Miriam explains.
Her plan includes cardiovascular exercises like high-intensity interval training to improve endurance and maintain a lean physique. Strength training, incorporating weightlifting or bodyweight exercises to build muscle tone, is also a staple in my weekly schedule. Given my body type, Danielle focuses on different muscle groups, with an emphasis on core strength, which is crucial for maintaining posture and balance on the runway. Flexibility and mobility work are also key, enhancing posture and overall body awareness, which are essential for modeling.
Nutrition plays a vital role in Miriam’s regimen. She emphasizes the importance of a balanced diet rich in whole foods, regular hydration, and quality sleep. “By integrating all these strategies, and with the constant guidance of my personal trainer, I can stay in shape, feel confident, and be well-prepared for any challenges my career brings”, she explains.
Physical activity has always been an important part of Miriam’s life. Horseback riding holds a special place in her heart, which she considers closely related to modeling. “Horseback riding and modeling share similar qualities—both require discipline, dedication, and grace”, Miriam says, adding that this experience helps her maintain her posture and balance.
When it comes to inspiration, Miriam does not rely on celebrities but instead looks up to her mother. “My mother embodies resilience, hard work, and determination”, she notes, adding that her mother’s supportive words have always been a source of motivation and strength.
Despite her professional commitments, Miriam keeps up with sports trends and competitions, particularly supporting Slovak athletes in hockey and football. “I never miss the chance to watch them compete in the world championships”, she says.
For those looking to integrate exercise into their busy lives, Miriam advises starting with realistic goals and finding activities they enjoy.
“Choose exercises that are fun and engaging, whether it’s walking, dancing, swimming, cycling, or group classes. When you enjoy the activity, sticking with it becomes much easier. Incorporate movement throughout your day. Look for opportunities to be active in your daily routine. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, or walk or bike to work if possible. Even small bouts of activity can add up. For me, long walks during my free time with my personal trainer and great friend make a big difference. Listen to your body and understand that it’s important to progress at your own pace. If you’re feeling fatigued or uncomfortable, it’s okay to rest or modify your routine. Finding balance is crucial. By starting small, staying flexible, and integrating movement into your daily life, exercise can become a sustainable part of your routine. Over time, this commitment will improve not just your physical fitness but also your mental resilience and self- confidence”, she concludes.
