ENGLISH VERSION

We love discovering new individuals who leave their mark on the fashion industry through their work and authenticity. One such example is Han Jing Jing, a model whose rise the fashion industry has witnessed in the past few years.

Han Jing Jing is becoming an increasingly familiar name in the pages of major fashion magazines like Vogue Korea, WKorea, Harper’s Bazaar Korea, Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam, Harper’s Bazaar Bulgaria, and Elle Thailand, and now we had the opportunity to talk to her and discover everything about her journey in the fashion industry.

At the beginning of our conversation, Han recalled her beginnings, emphasizing that she discovered her love for cameras only after overcoming initial fear.

“I was always intrigued by how models could confidently present themselves in front of cameras because when I was a teenager, I was afraid of cameras and never felt ready to put myself under the spotlight. I learned a lot from a photographer I happened to meet during my teenage years,” Han tells us, reminding us that every beginning is full of challenges and discoveries. She recalls that she started her career out of curiosity, and today her journey is filled with diversity and confidence.

Over the years, Han has evolved as a model, adopting a natural approach to posing: “In the beginning, I was more cautious about how I posed and felt that things were structured. However, now I lean more towards letting things flow naturally. Through this process, I think I have learned a lot and perhaps the biggest lesson would be always to trust yourself on set and never be afraid to try new ‘poses’, just follow your instincts.”

Han also shared some of her most interesting shooting experiences, highlighting how shooting a solo cover in extreme conditions was a particularly unforgettable experience.

“It was so memorable because I wore a blouse and a skirt at -20 degrees and was shaking uncontrollably. Even our camera froze and stopped working. But the place was so beautiful, I felt so blessed to be shooting in such a special location,” she described.

The schedule of a model varies from day to day and with dense shooting schedules, but Han emphasized the importance of finding a balance between professional and personal life, and everyday routines and pleasures like drinking americano and evenings with friends make her days filled with business commitments easier.

Consistency is often talked about today, so we also asked Han how difficult it is for her to maintain authenticity in a world full of external pressures.

“In order to stay true to ourselves, we must be self-aware, know our values and boundaries, and have the courage to fight for what we believe in.”

When it comes to the challenges she faces in the industry, Han emphasized the importance of embracing change and maintaining a positive attitude: “Everything is a continuous opportunity for learning, new people constantly emerge, and we should be more open to failures or changes. Also, we should always be positive and passionate about what we do and how we do it.”

Han also spoke openly about the pressures related to appearance, highlighting that society’s expectations are high, but also emphasizing that the most important thing is to be happy with oneself.

“I think everyone who works in front of cameras always feels some pressure and fears not looking good, but as I already said – be a good friend to your body and accept it,” Han advised.

At the end of the conversation, Han revealed her plans for the future, emphasizing that she is currently focused on preparing her album.

“I am currently working on preparing my album, and that is something I am very focused on at the moment”.
